Adani Enterprises and International Resources Holding plan to establish a 50:50 joint venture for an integrated aluminium project in Odisha, with an investment of USD 11.5 billion (approximately ₹1.08 lakh crore). This project includes a 4 MMTPA alumina refinery, a 2 MMTPA aluminium smelter, and a 4,000 MW captive power plant.
The venture marks the largest foreign direct investment in Odisha and one of India's significant metallurgy sector investments. The development will occur in two phases, with ₹66,000 crore allocated for the initial phase.
