Asia-Pacific markets fell on Thursday as oil prices surged amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. The International Energy Agency plans to release 400 million barrels of oil, the largest in its history, while the U.S. will contribute 172 million barrels from its Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 dropped 1.56% and Japan’s Nikkei 225 also slid.
