Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a joint venture cooperation agreement with Safran Electronics and Defense to manufacture HAMMER weapons in India. The agreement, signed on 24 November 2025, aims to establish a new entity for local manufacturing and maintenance for the Indian Air Force. This collaboration follows a prior memorandum of understanding from 11 February 2025.
