The Finance Ministry's Expenditure Finance Committee has approved a ₹1.25 lakh crore outlay for the India Semiconductor Mission 2.0, significantly up from ₹76,000 crore allocated in the previous phase. This initiative aims to meet 75% of India's domestic semiconductor demand by 2030. The proposal will soon be presented to the Union Cabinet for final approval.
