Coal India Ltd has approved a ₹3,189.54 crore investment in Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Ltd to produce ammonium nitrate, enhancing self-sufficiency. Additionally, it formed a joint venture with Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited to develop renewable energy projects in Uttar Pradesh. The company is also incorporating a holding company in Chile, marking its international expansion.
