Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) is launching a ₹6,350 crore expansion program, Capex 2.0, to enhance its fertilizer manufacturing capacity. Key projects include a 700-tonne Phosphoric Acid Plant and a 2,200-tonne Sulphuric Acid Plant at Cochin, along with a 1500 MTPD Urea Plant at Udyogamandal.
This initiative aligns with the government's Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, aiming for greater self-reliance in the fertilizer sector. The annual production capacity is expected to rise from 860,000 tonnes to 1.4 million tonnes once completed.
