Gold prices ease as dollar strengthens and profit booking increases

In early trading, gold prices on the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell due to profit booking and a stronger US dollar. Gold futures for February delivery dropped 0.13% to ₹1,30,288 per 10 grams, while silver futures decreased to ₹1,82,200 per kg. Traders are focusing on unwinding positions as the dollar index rises above 99.
Gold prices in Bangalore also saw a decline, with 24K gold falling to ₹13,036 per gram from ₹13,058. The price of 10 grams of 24K gold decreased to ₹1,30,360 from ₹1,30,580. This trend may impact near-term trading sentiment.
