Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed a new agreement with General Electric (GE) for 113 F404 engines to support the Tejas Mark-1A fighter jets. Deliveries are scheduled between 2027 and 2032, with the contract value estimated at ₹8,800 cr. This order adds to HAL's existing contract for 180 jets from the Ministry of Defence.
