The Kerala government has approved ₹810 crore for acquiring 230 acres of land to enhance the Vizhinjam International Seaport infrastructure. Funding will begin with ₹283.68 crore from the Plan Scheme Treasury Saving Bank account of Vizhinjam International Seaport Ltd (VISL).
