Maruti Suzuki India aims to enhance localisation of battery production and critical components to strengthen its electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem. Currently, the company does not qualify for the ₹25,938 cr Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme due to insufficient domestic value addition. The phased localisation plan is expected to boost EV adoption in India.
