NCLT approves DCM Shriram's business reorganization plan

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in New Delhi has approved a composite amalgamation and demerger scheme for DCM Shriram Industries and three group entities, effective 1 Apr 2023. This includes merging Lily Commercial into DCM Shriram Industries and demerging its chemical and rayon units into two new firms.
This restructuring aims to enhance operational efficiency and business focus, although the tax department's recovery rights remain intact. Any defaults could void the NCLT's sanction.
