The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has shifted the FPI registration fees to a rupee-based system, replacing the previous US dollar structure. This change, effective in six months, revises the registration fee from US $1,000 to ₹90,000. Additionally, mutual funds can now utilize intraday borrowing to address temporary cash mismatches.
