Benchmark equity indices snapped a four-session winning streak on Tuesday, with the BSE Sensex falling 104.35 points to 78,180.72 and the NSE Nifty50 slipping 31.65 points to 24,398.70. Profit booking offset gains in IT stocks, which saw the Nifty IT index rise 2.43%. The Indian rupee, however, appreciated 0.45% against the US dollar, marking its largest single-session gain in three weeks.
