The ACME Group and IHI Corp. joint venture has received Contract for Difference (CfD) support from Japan for its 405,000 tpa green ammonia project in Gopalpur, Odisha. This subsidy will cover 228,000 tpa of clean ammonia supply for 25 years, starting September 2030, aiding in cost competitiveness against conventional fuels. Additionally, 177,000 tpa is allocated under Japan’s Long-Term Decarbonized Power Source Auction, enhancing project viability.
