India's airline industry is set to face net losses of ₹36,000-38,000 cr in FY27, nearly tripling from earlier estimates of ₹11,000-12,000 cr. Factors such as the ongoing West Asia conflict, high aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices, and a weaker rupee are significantly impacting financials. The FY26 loss forecast has also been revised to ₹32,000-34,000 cr from ₹17,000-18,000 cr.
