Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Safran Electronics and Defence have signed a Joint Venture Cooperation Agreement to manufacture the HAMMER precision-guided weapon in India. This initiative supports the Make in India campaign, aiming for 60% indigenisation in production. The JV will enhance local supply and lifecycle support for the Indian Air Force and Navy.
