Coal India Limited and Damodar Valley Corporation have signed a Joint Venture Agreement to develop a 1,600 MW thermal power project at Chandrapura Thermal Power Station in Jharkhand. The total estimated cost is ₹210 billion, financed on a 50:50 equity basis. This project aims to enhance energy production and explore future collaborations in thermal and renewable sectors.
