Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) withdrew ₹3.65 trillion ($39.94 billion) from Indian markets from May 2025 to May 2026. This coincides with a 13.41% negative return on the Nifty 50 USD and a 4% drop in the index to 23,719.30. FPI ownership in NSE-listed firms has reached a 17-year low of 15.8%.
