Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) recorded net outflows of ₹12,462.74 cr on 16 Mar, the highest of the week, driven by geopolitical tensions and a depreciating rupee. This trend persisted with net outflows of ₹10,018.31 cr on 17 Mar, primarily from equities, which saw net sales of ₹9,406.78 cr. The ongoing risk-off sentiment is likely to keep FPIs cautious in the near term.
