The Board of Directors of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited approved a capital expenditure plan exceeding ₹1,000 crore. This includes installing two biofuel/coal fired boilers at Vadodara and Dahej, costing ₹390 crore, and a new 33,870 TPA food grade phosphoric acid plant at Dahej, estimated at ₹560 crore. The project is expected to generate ₹350 crore in additional annual revenues.
