GAIL (India) has floated a tender for project management consultancy services for a 100 MW solar power project integrated with a 22 MWh Battery Energy Storage System in Maharashtra. This initiative aims to support GAIL’s propane dehydrogenation-polypropylene plant's electricity needs.
The project is part of GAIL's broader plan to develop 700 MW of solar capacity across Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, with an investment of ₹3,800 cr. This solar-plus-storage project will enhance renewable energy utilization by managing intermittency.
