The Central government has reduced the excise duty on petrol and diesel by ₹10 per litre each for domestic consumption. This decision, announced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, aims to shield consumers from rising prices amid the West Asia crisis.
Additionally, duties on diesel exports are set at ₹21.5 per litre, while Aviation Turbine Fuel is taxed at ₹29.5 per litre to ensure domestic availability.
