Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is facing scrutiny from the government regarding 2,500 layoffs allegedly conducted without proper procedures. An employee-rights group, NITES, claims TCS may lay off up to 12,000 employees in Pune. The Labour Commissioner has issued a notice demanding TCS explain these actions and address claims of wrongful terminations.
