India is finalizing a ₹90,000 crore deal for six next-generation submarines with Germany under Project 75I. The agreement, valued at approximately €8 billion, is expected to conclude by September 2026 pending final approvals. A government technical group will assess the technology transfer package from ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems before it goes to the Cabinet Committee on Security.
