Renewed US-Iran tensions have led to a sharp decline in LNG exports from the Persian Gulf. The 10-day moving average of laden LNG transits through the Strait of Hormuz dropped from 0.8 cargoes per day in late June to just 0.2 cargoes per day by mid-July. India is rerouting imports via the UAE and Oman to mitigate risks.
