NLC India Limited and National Aluminium Company Limited have signed a 50:50 Joint Venture Agreement to develop a 1,080 MW coal-based captive thermal power plant in Angul, Odisha. This project aims to enhance energy security and support NALCO’s expansion plans.
• The plant will consist of four units of 270 MW each.
• Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy witnessed the signing, highlighting the project’s significance for India’s industrial growth.
