Energy market forecasts are adjusting as the US Energy Information Administration predicts a slower recovery in oil production due to Hormuz tensions. Global oil inventories are expected to drop by 7.6 million b/d in Q3 2026. In contrast, the IEA and BNEF have narrowed their 2026 supply deficits to 900,000 b/d and 500,000 b/d respectively.
