Patel Engineering Limited has secured a ₹230.70 crore contract for pre-construction works on Bhutan's largest hydroelectric project, the 1,125 MW Dorjilung Hydroelectric Power Project. The Letter of Award was issued by Dorjilung Hydro Power Limited, a joint venture involving Tata Power Company Limited and Bhutan's Druk Green Power Corporation.

This project is pivotal for Bhutan's energy strategy, aiming to enhance domestic energy supply and facilitate surplus power exports to India, thereby strengthening regional energy security.
