Tata Power's Mundra power plant faced a loss of ₹800 crore in the first nine months of FY23 due to an extended shutdown lasting nearly six months. The plant's operations were suspended since 3 July 2022, leading to no capacity charges while fixed costs persisted. Consequently, consolidated profit remained nearly flat at ₹1,194.33 crore YoY, with a 25% drop in profit attributable to owners.
