The Prime Minister's Office has instructed the coal ministry to list all subsidiaries of Coal India by 2030. This initiative aims to enhance governance and transparency while unlocking value through asset monetization. Coal India, which produces over 80% of domestic coal, operates eight subsidiaries, including Bharat Coking Coal Ltd and Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Ltd, which are set to be listed soon.
