State Bank of India (SBI) and Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) have lowered lending rates following the Reserve Bank of India’s repo rate cut. SBI’s External Benchmark Linked Rate (EBLR) is now 7.90%, down by 25 basis points, while IOB's Repo Linked Lending Rate (RLLR) is reduced to 8.10% from 8.35%. These changes take effect on 15 Dec 2025.
This move is expected to boost borrowing and support economic growth, aligning with RBI's strategy to stimulate the economy.
