The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has approved significant reforms to its conflict-of-interest guidelines for its chairman and whole-time members. This overhaul aims to enhance ease of doing business by allowing foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) to settle cash market transactions on a net basis. These changes follow scrutiny over previous allegations of conflict involving the former SEBI chairperson.
