Domestic equity benchmarks opened lower on Thursday, with Sensex down 239.95 points at 76,515.10 and Nifty slipping 91.45 points to 23,904.80. The Nifty Oil & Gas sector was the worst performer, declining nearly 1% amid rising crude oil prices due to escalating tensions in West Asia. Key losers included Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, IndiGo, and Infosys, falling up to 4%.
