Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited has unveiled a ₹2,700 crore capital expenditure plan to enhance its long steel and stainless steel production. The investment will be allocated to its Kharagpur and Sambalpur facilities, with completion expected by early 2029. Notably, ₹900 crore will fund a new Wire Rod and Bar Mill, adding 800,000 TPA capacity by March 2029.
This expansion aims to diversify the product portfolio and boost overall production capacity, potentially strengthening market position in high-value specialty steel products.
