JSW Steel reported consolidated crude steel production of 21.18 lakh tonnes for April 2026, a 1% decline from 21.40 lakh tonnes a year earlier. Domestic operations contributed 20.40 lakh tonnes, while the US facility produced 0.78 lakh tonnes, down 7% year-on-year. The decline was primarily due to a planned shutdown of Blast Furnace 3 at the Vijayanagar plant for capacity upgrades, impacting overall capacity utilization.
