Sri Lanka has approved a joint venture between Jyoti Structure Limited and Hayleys Fentons Limited to construct a ₹2.27 billion power transmission link. The 28-kilometre, 220 KV line will connect the Mannar and Mullikulam grid substations, enhancing renewable energy evacuation from the northern region. This initiative is part of the Mullikulam Wind Power Transmission project, aimed at bolstering energy infrastructure.
