Tata Steel Limited has announced a strategy to expand its crude steel production capacity to over 40 MTPA from ~27.4 MTPA. Key initiatives include adding 4.8 MTPA at Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd., 2.5 MTPA at Tata Steel Meramandali, and developing a 6 MTPA greenfield plant in Maharashtra.

This expansion aims to meet India's long-term steel demand and strengthen its downstream business by increasing tube manufacturing capacity from 1.7 MTPA to 4 MTPA. 📈
