Vikram Solar has approved a capital expenditure of ₹4,371 crore to establish a 5 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu through its subsidiary VSL Powerhive. This investment is part of a phased strategy to expand its BESS capabilities, aiming for a total of 30 GWh in the long term. The facility is expected to be operational by FY27.
