Asia stocks rise on AI chipmaker rally and oil surge

Asian shares gained on 23 July as chipmakers rallied amid expectations of increased AI spending. Japan's Nikkei 225 rose over 1.1%, while South Korea's Kospi jumped over 3%. The MSCI Asia Pacific index climbed 0.8%, driven by Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, both advancing more than 4%. Oil prices also surged amid tensions in the Red Sea.
