Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu has laid the foundation for a ₹1.36 lakh crore steel plant by ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel India in Anakapalli. The 17.8 MTPA project will be developed in two phases and is expected to create around 1 lakh jobs. A captive port will enhance the region's logistics capabilities.
