Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have offloaded ₹17,131 crore from Indian equities in September so far, driven by geopolitical uncertainty and elevated US bond yields. Total net outflows reached ₹25,682 crore from stock exchanges. However, FPIs infused ₹8,551 crore in the primary market this month, indicating selective investment interest.
• Debt market outflows totaled ₹7,385 crore through the Fully Accessible Route.
• Additional withdrawals included ₹3,021 crore via the Voluntary Retention Route and ₹1,889 crore through the General Limit route.
