Google India’s AI hub near Visakhapatnam has received environmental clearance for 2.51GW of power capacity, more than double the previously expected 1GW. This facility is set to be one of the largest AI infrastructure projects in India, comparable to the output of two large nuclear reactors, and will significantly impact Andhra Pradesh's electricity consumption.
The project, announced in October 2025, involves a partnership with AdaniConneX and Airtel, marking a substantial investment in AI infrastructure. ⚡
