The upcoming free trade pact between India and Oman, set to be signed on 21 Dec 2023, aims to boost exports of petroleum machinery, rice, and iron and steel products. Currently, over 80% of Indian goods enter Oman at an average tariff of 5%. The elimination of tariffs under this agreement is expected to enhance the competitiveness of Indian industrial exports in Oman’s market.
