India issues $10B tender for 60 IAF transport aircraft

The Indian Ministry of Defence has issued a $10 billion Request for Proposal (RFP) to acquire 60 Medium Transport Aircraft for the Indian Air Force. This initiative aims to replace the aging Antonov An-32 fleet and bolster cargo capabilities. The C-130J and KC-390 are leading candidates, with the first 12 aircraft to be delivered fully built, while the remaining 48 will be manufactured locally. This tender marks a significant step for India's private aerospace sector.
