Jio Financial Services forms insurance joint venture with Allianz

Jio Financial Services Limited has established a general insurance joint venture, Jio Allianz General Insurance Limited (JAGIL), with Allianz Europe B.V. on 12 May 2026. This venture aims to expand into the domestic general insurance sector, including health insurance, pending regulatory approvals.

The incorporation follows a joint venture agreement disclosed on 22 April 2026 and received regulatory clearance from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India. This move may enhance Jio's market presence in the insurance industry.
