Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has secured a large order from Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Ltd., a joint venture of Coal India and BHEL, for a coal-to-ammonia-nitrate project in Odisha. The order, valued between ₹2,500 cr to ₹5,000 cr, involves developing a nitric acid and ammonium nitrate plant with a capacity of 2,000 tonnes per day.

This project enhances L&T's portfolio in the hydrocarbon sector and is expected to contribute positively to its revenue stream once operational.
