Domestic equity benchmarks opened lower on Thursday as Sensex fell 239.95 points to 76,515.10 and Nifty declined 91.45 points to 23,904.80. The Nifty Oil & Gas sector was the worst performer, dropping nearly 1%, influenced by rising Brent crude prices amid escalating tensions in West Asia. Key losers included Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, IndiGo, and Infosys, each falling up to 4%.
