Vedanta Copper announced plans to invest $2.3 billion over the next three to four years to boost output beyond 1 million tonnes by 2030. This includes a potential restart of its Tamil Nadu smelter, closed for over eight years. The company aims to produce 500,000 tonnes of copper in India and another 500,000 tonnes in Saudi Arabia.
