The Indian Navy has signed a contract with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) on 21 May 2026 to enhance the Information Fusion Centre – Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR). This agreement aims to improve real-time maritime surveillance and strengthen regional cooperation in the Indian Ocean. The initiative is a significant step towards bolstering India’s maritime security.
