Sagility B.V., the promoter of healthcare-focused IT-enabled services provider Sagility, is reportedly planning to sell a 12% stake through a block deal at ₹42.45 per share. The proposed transaction is valued at about ₹2,377 cr and represents a discount of up to 4.9% to the previous closing price.
The stock closed at ₹44.66 on 29 Oct 2026, down 1.4% on the day, according to OI Charts data. Trading volume was 1.25 crore shares. The proposed floor price is also below Thursday’s reported BSE close of ₹44.69, when the stock declined 1.2% from the previous session. The difference reflects exchange-level closing data.
Sagility B.V. held 238.51 crore shares, or 50.95% of the company, at the end of the September quarter. If completed, the sale would further reduce promoter ownership. The promoter held 67.38% a year earlier and sold 76.9 crore shares at an average ₹47.60 apiece in November 2025. The residual promoter stake is expected to carry a 365-day lock-up, according to the Economic Times report. 📉
For the healthcare services and IT-enabled services segments, the transaction increases the near-term supply of shares and puts the block-deal price at the centre of investor attention. OI Charts data shows futures open interest at 7.87 crore shares, down 1.9% on the day, with the move classified as long unwinding. The futures premium was 0.09%, while the put-call ratio stood at 0.45, indicating a relatively call-heavy options positioning.
The options market places max pain at ₹45.00 for the 23 Nov 2026 expiry. The largest call open interest is at ₹50, while the largest put open interest is at ₹43. These levels frame the next derivatives watch: ₹42.45 as the proposed deal floor, ₹43 as the main put-open-interest level and ₹45 as max pain. The stock’s reaction to the transaction’s completion, the final allocation and any update to promoter ownership will determine whether the supply overhang persists. The company’s second-quarter adjusted profit after tax was reported at ₹325.4 cr, up 8.1% year on year, providing the operating-performance context for the stake sale. 🏥
